Hendrick’s Limited Edition Orbium Gin

Hendrick’s Orbium is a reimagining of Hendrick’s Gin by our Master Distiller, Ms. Lesley Gracie. Instilled with additional extracts of Quinine, Wormwood and Lotus Blossom, the result is an oddly exquisite gin that sits roundly on the palate, complementing our beloved cucumber and rose essences. These additions create a complex gin with surprising sweetness and a finish that is recognizably long and lingering, that spirals from zesty to floral into an altogether unexpected deeper and alluringly bitter place. Orbium was designed to work in all the drinks that Hendrick’s works in, offering a unique taste experience in a variety of different cocktails, but it truly comes to life when it finds itself nestled in a Hendrick’s Orbium Martini or with Soda Water. Hendrick’s Gin is created via an absurdly inefficient, yet quite glorious process. In essence, to make one gin, we first create two. One on an old-fashioned pot still, yielding a rich and intricate spirit. The other on along-necked Carter Head, producing a delicate, more refined spirit. Each still is infused with an unusual symphony of 11 botanicals. The gins from the two stills are then married together and graced with refreshing infusions of Rose and Cucumber. Hand-crafted on the Southwest coast of Scotland in the decidedly un-ginnish town of Girvan, tiny batches are produced at a time, which gives Ms. Lesley Gracie, the inventor of Hendrick’s Gin, greater control of her careful artistry.
